Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) reports to the Program Manager of Mental Health Services and ensures the Mental Health Program’s compliance with clinical standards established by Los Angeles County – Department of Mental Health (LAC-DMH). This position monitors quality assurance and compliance with LAC-DMH regulations and ensures that the Mental Health Program is audit-ready. This position oversees the program’s billing operations providing direct supervision of the program IS Coordinator.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in development, updating, and implementation of program policies and procedures to assure compliance with County and State regulations and standards.
- Conducts periodic reviews and/or audits of service documentation (e.g., progress notes, assessment and treatment plans, and discharge plans) to ensure operational compliance with County documentation standards.

- Ensures daily operations of the electronic billing record system and IBHIS toward compliance with LAC-DMH documentation standards and practice.
- Provides management oversight for program’s Information Systems Clerk.
- Assists in the development of and provides training to program staff pertaining to quality assurance / improvement related topics.
- Represents agency at LAC-DMH Quality Improvement service provider meetings.
- Supervises Administrative Support Staff to ensure responsibilities are met.
- Functions within the rules and procedures as outlined in applicable contracts, program/ department procedures & manuals and the Drew Employee handbook.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Possession of a current California mental health practitioner license (e.g. LCSW, LMFT) strongly preferred.

Pay: $70,640.00 - $81,589.00 per year
